Hi guys.
I was always curious and calculating what would be the PV of some of my team players. So i was grabbing the PC calculator and check the statistics from the last games to check what would the PV looks like.

So i decided to start a complex Excel document that would save me alot of time. After some hours of formulas and visual improvements i finally did the document. Now i just copy the statistics from the nba site and paste directly on the excel row.

I moved the excel to the google docs so it can be available for anyone. Hope you like it and it will be as usefull as it was to me.

Link:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ptoMS3si4kZLMifxu_X642ScfFyNTbDwUPPd0IpxKmQ/edit?usp=sharing

There is an about tab that will tell you how to use this document properly.
If you have any doubt or any advice feel free!

How to use:
Copy the whole row from one game from the NBA stats site (ex:.John Wall - http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/202322/gamelogs/ and copy directly on the excel.
If a player missed a game for some reason fill the row in excel with zeros (0). Not every stat on the list is important to calculate the PV of a player, i just dont delete those because this way i can copy and directly paste from the nba stats, i do not need to insert the values one by one.
The stats that really matter are in YELLOW(PTS,REB,ASS,STL,BLK) while the current PV of the games is GREEN.

There are 3 main excel pages (GUARDS, FORWARDS and CENTERS) where the data from the players is updated.
Then u can create a page for yourself (on the end) and grab the values from one of the 3 main pages.

You can check/ duplicate the Example_test page, where i have one example of how i grab the data from westbrook.
I copied the whole rectangle from another player (rectangle from B4 to X15) so the formulas are also copied.
Then i edited the info of the inner cells (C5 to W13).
I started on Cell C5 where i say if C55 from Guards (where Westbrook info starts is blank then type blank ("") else copy the data from Guards!C55 (=IF(ISBLANK(Guards!C55);"";Guards!C55 ). Then drag this formula to every other inner cell. (C5 to W13).

@BlakeN: the link seems down to me, can u post it again?

@El DeRozan: Thanks! What do you mean by not understanding? What you dont understand? How the value is calculated, how to add new players? How to create a tab for your own team?
Yes, you can tell me some players and i will add if you want, but i do not guarantee a daily update for the new players

Well i have copied from a existing player and created blank slots on Guards/Forwards/Centers tab. U can see some slots with insert player name. Just type the player u want and start grabbing the data from NBA stats site.

Creating a new player tuturial
Lets take James Harden as an example. SO lets see how many games we need to start grabbing. Check standings to make sure how many games Houston Rockets have: http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html?ls=iref:nba:gnav.
Houston is 34W 15L = 49 total games. As the game updates every 5 team games. So the last update was at 45 games. 49-45=4. So we need to grab Harden last 4 games, or to be more precise, Harden's statistics from Rockets last 4 games, because if he had miss any game u need to fill the full row in blank.
Then go to Harden gamelogs in nba.com: http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201935/gamelogs/ and copy the info from the last 4 games. It should look like this:

FEB 04, 2015 - HOU vs. CHI   36   27   9   20   45.0   3   5   60.0   6   6   100   1   2   3   4   1   2   2   2   1
JAN 31, 2015 - HOU @ DET   36   26   10   17   58.8   2   4   50.0   4   5   80.0   0   7   7   9   2   1   4   1   -2
JAN 30, 2015 - HOU @ BOS   39   14   4   21   19.0   2   7   28.6   4   5   80.0   0   6   6   7   2   0   5   2   3
JAN 28, 2015 - HOU vs. DAL   38   17   7   14   50.0   1   3   33.3   2   3   66.7   1   4   5   8   4   0   4   5   -2

Then just paste that info on the excel (u can check line 228 from Guards tab, i copied the selection to excel with my cursor on C230). The excel will make the math for u and the PV calculated for the next 4 games is 320 (B239).

In some cases it says #div/0 error but that is because there is no info to calculate and it cannot divide by 0, dont worry about that because you will get rid of it when u start filling with info.

For creating a team tab try to check Team_example tab to understand how i did to fetch Jeff Teagues data from the guards tab.

If u still didnt manage to add players or create you own team tell me and i will try to help you.

Thanks for the support!

I might do some changes, there is a bit messy with all the player stats from the game, so i will try to clean it up and just track the important stats (PTS REB ASS STL BLK).  What do you guys think?
